curios now that the exp draft is done and they don't have to move him for worry of a protection spot why would they want to?
I thought he went back on his trade west demands and was content there now, from a on ice competitive roster point of view nyi have no reason to move him.

He didn't have a good year and with the emergence of Pulock they feel like they can trade Hamonic for some forward help for JT.

Makes sense I guess , I thought he'd be in Montreal for galchenyk already by now.
I've never been that enthusiastic about all the rumours of him coming to edm. I think the whole he wants to go west thing was a ploy to rob trouba, Hamilton, kleftbom or nurse from one of those teams.

- Sakic said the offers on Duchene are not close and it's looking like he might stay in Colorado. It is believed that the Isles offered a deal around Hamonic + 1st.

- Hamonic still likely to be moved, mentioned CGY, TOR and COL again as possible destinations. Initial asking price was two 1st round picks but I imagine that's changed.

- Vegas will continue to be active as they still have extra D-men they need to ship out. It's possible both Methot and Emelin are flipped. Methot has an NTC and most Canadian teams are on his no-go list.

There is trade interest in Phaneuf from outside his list, so Sens are in discussion with Newport to see if Dion is willing to be flexible.

Rumor that Duchene's camp is getting fed up with the Avs. His name has been out there for a while and he's stayed quiet, to his credit. And now Sakic is balking at every deal even though both parties know it's time to move on.

The Isles have been linked to Duchene a lot but I assume the Avs want a young D-man back and the Isles have none to give. They must not have cared for Hamonic as a base, especially since he's an RD.

- Nashville has entered the Duchene sweepstakes, but Poile made it clear that he doesn't want to trade any of his big 4 on D (so I don't know how he'll get it done)

- Ottawa still trying to trade Phaneuf, they want him to loosen his NTC list

- Teams have called for Giroux, including Montreal, but obviously the Flyers will need to be blown away on an offer to pull the trigger

- Calgary open to re-signing UFA Michael Stone and using him as their #5 D but he'll probably cost too much for someone who will have a limited role

Yeah no way I'm trading giroux. Flyer fans just pray he had an off year due to his hip surgery in the offseason.

Spencer Foo is meeting w his agent in Edmonton today and tomorrow and expects to make decision by mid week.
