I'm looking for a Diablo 2 like game, and was sorely disappointed in Path of Exile. So I'm giving this a try?

How is it? How difficult is it to acquire decent equipment at the high levels? How big is the pay to win factor? Is the Summoner a good starting class for non-funded beginners? Is there stuff to do later besides killing stuff?

Should I use my 8-hour thingy that allows me to break down items for components? Or should I save it for a higher level?

Torchlight 2 is much better than this and much more similar to diablo 2



This game is fun, but its kinda dead.

Everyone in game is pretty crappy with helping others out.

I tried to get an active guild that helped people whenever but no one was willing to join

Nope I like hellgate better to be honest, its a matter of preference. Its just this game is empty and hardly anyone plays anymore.

no clue what you see in hellgate, its one of the worst games out there unless they did some SERIOUS work on it because when i played it, it was just HORRIBLE, well prob still is, my guess is it is dead for a reason...

I think it's good despite the flaws it's fun to play, as I said each to their own thats your opinion i like hellgate and i like poe aswell. It's like call of duty black ops online, some people like it and some people hate it, same analogy.
