Here is a video of a guy simply resisting arrest. The cops were lax in using force to subdue him, which allowed the man to reach under his seat, grab a gun, and murder one officer and wound another and escape. It all happens in a matter of seconds. THIS is why they don't take chances.

Don't shoot them before you've had any interaction. Don't shoot them when they reach for their wallet after you've given them an order to do so. Don't restrain them and then sit on their neck and chest for 10 minutes.
Nobody is saying they don't have a hard job. But having a hard and dangerous job does not give them the right to murder citizens.
