EU budget is increasing every year no matter how conservative parties have warned against it. The eurofiles will never listen to reasonable politics untill the system blows up in their faces but then it's too late.

EU central bank has done so much Quantitative Easing (buying up debt basically) it's insane. It hasn't helped which we can judge by the now negative interest rates necessary to prevent the southern members from collapsing under their burden of debt.

The Brits are not alone, in many other countries we hear more and more EU skeptical voices. If another member sways and steps out, that's the end of EU. Will be interesting to see what happens financially, huge sums of money were sent down south by northern countries and they still expect that money back some day.

Hopefully it was already know the discussion would not be done in 1 summit; there's no big surprise and everything is in line to find out a balanced solution.
It's good to have critics. Once fixed the little bitches will vanish like usual.

Perhaps they should go strait to ECB to ask for a 70B cash injection. Wouldn't be surprising at this point

Bring back Quantitative Easing? Is that what you're talking about? The Ronald Reagan/Barack Obama method of floating the economy?

Why are so many conservatives, Republicans and Democrats, obsessed with keeping welfare for the wealthy is what I wonder.

 What you mean bring it back. I'm talking about the EU and the ECB never halted their so called "asset purchase programs". https://www.ecb.europa.eu/mopo/implement/omt/html/index.en.html

Actually, september 2019 mario draghi announced another round of this https://www.forbes.com/sites/isabeltogoh/2019/09/12/what-to-expect-from-the-european-central-bank-decision/

The eurofiles should understand that it shows the weakness of this system where the weaker countries have to perform the same as the stronger ones instead of having their own fluctuating currency. This is not the case of course hence why the weaker ones stack up debt and need to be saved by "asset purchase programs" and even negative interest rates.

Pls inform yourself before making another pointless sneer

Even though it's obvious hyperbole, I'm afraid there's still a shocking amount of truth to it.

It's like you don't understand what i'm saying.

It will recover for people who will be contributing for another 25 years and start to draw down 4 presidents later. But if you're in your mid 50's and stock market tanks and you lose 20% that's massive for you because in 5-10 years you will start to draw down and you will never be able to recover to the point of wealth you could of had if that -20% didn't happen.

Stock market crashes are no big deal if you're young it's devastating to old people who can no longer buy the crash and instead are depending on their nest egg for income.

Also its important to note that healthcare cost in retirement will likely more than make up the difference there. You don't get Medicare or Medicaid until you are out of money and assets. There's a lot of people signing over their houses to the government when they die because they cant cover everything even after insurance.
