I get shat on all over r/Eagles for this take but I don't think Howie Roseman is as bad as people seem to think. Doug didn't develop or make any player better in 5 years, that's bound to make any GM look like trash.

I generally agree with this, but some of the drafting mistakes are so glaring. Couple of bad contracts that didn't work out with older players as well

I agree but hindsight bias is also huge, like it's not Howie's fault that Justin Jefferson fits the Minnesota Vikings' offense scheme. Put him with Wentz and Doug and I don't think he would have done much better than Reaghor did.

Him getting cute and giving more chances to players that are already under contract can create situations like Brandon Graham and Jordan Mailata developping into elite players, as well. It does bite us in the ass a lot like Desean, Alshon, etc. but if we ever get a training staff capable of keeping the injuries down, it might work out fine.

That's true, hindsight 20/20. Individual team circumstances for Jefferson and others have have benefited some of the players they missed on.

They've hit on some picks too which is always overlooked. Mailata like you said, big V, mills who was a 7th round pick, sanders, goddert, sweat seems to be a player, Wentz (didnt work out here, but still a good pick) etc.

Overall, people make Howie out to be so much worse than he actually is.

I think even JJ Arcega-Whiteside might still have potential as a Tight End if he wants to convert also. Have you seen him block? Wew. We're garbage but I love us and I see potential everywhere.
