In my opinion, we can't determine a level cap that way. We'd have to see which class gets access to what.

For instance, in the level 20 bracket, I see that the barb won't have access to their war cry and ignore pain and the wiz wont get teleport, hydra and familiar, wdwhile the monk and dh will have access to all of their PvP spells.
Barbs: won't have access to war cry and ignore pain
Wiz: won't have access to teleport, hydra and familiar
WD: won't have access to Hex and Acid Cloud
BUT DH and monk keep all of their best abilities. It would of been fine if everyone lost some main offensive and defensive spell, but instead everything is spread out randomly so that some players will keep everything while some others will be at a pretty big disadvantage.

The reason I want to be careful with this is that in d2, 18 and 30 dueling restricted competitiveness to only a handful of duelers instead of having a big pool of builds. For instance, the only character that would be able to beat a lvl 30 bowazon would be a paladin with relevant charge damage. That's dead wrong, and allowing characters to hit lvl 20 SEEMS like it would direct dueling like it was on D2.

I don't see a problem with lvl 10 and lvl 30 obviously, but lvl 42 just seems like a gear check to me. Like just being just like a lvl 60 with nerfed stats. lvl 49s in d2 would have completely different builds than hlders. I think mld will have to wait til blizz starts increasing lvl cap. That way items that are good noqw might become worstless in the future for hlds, but very usable for mlds.

yup. every class has a cc breaker.

Level 42 is mld, and specifically I wanted to impliment it to pub duel other 60's, but yes it is primarly a gear based level which is unique and possible in this game unlike many others.
So i figured if that attracts a crowd of people toward it rather than the other levels, even beter.

Also the skills i have all listed out at every level bracket on a notepad and many of them have counter skills for any main skill on each bracket with the exception of some (i think monk at 20 was one)

But my direct vote goes toward level 30 (obviously) 42 as mld (for its own unique reasons) and 20. The other brackets do need some testing to be sure so in the coming weeks we can finally do this since we have some what of a community here.

I have a level 10 gear set, 20 gear set 14 gear set, 15, 9, 30, 42. So those are the levels im willing to test.
I do not have anymore character slots though so thats a bit of a problem.

just because you werent able to play competetive against bowzones at lvl 30 doesnt mean its imposible. Bowzones were good, yes, but unbeatable for other builds than charge/lib, hell fcking no.

So me and wolf dueled quiet a bit.

I gave him a bunch of good 30 wd gear to put on a 36 wd he had and i tried dueling it with a 30 monk/wiz/dh, and all were not successful in the least lol

hex + fear is a unbeatable combo hands down atm, so hopefully blizz nerfs them, or we will have to make some restrictions for it since it really is almost impossible to counter.

The duels were very fun though and i see a lot (LOT) of potential here. Its much much more balanced than hld atm which isn't surprising with 200k+ dps char's running around.

i dont think its a good idea to draw any final conclusions about anything yet. they are planning some sort of pvp penalty, if that penalty is big, then flawless squares might make duels too long and would be better to put the cap at star.
