Most likely Miller, although there's rumors of Pearson being shopped as well. Poor guy, just can't escape JR even though he has been solid AF.

technically the Canucks have capspace to fit everyone this season, but Alvin still wants cap flexibility.

they got 9.6m left to sign boeser and some depth players.

assuming the worst, and they qualify boeser at 7.5m, they have 2.1m to sign highmore, lammikko, and rathbone. They'll most likely sign 2 of the 3 to the max cap, then use LTIR from ferland's 3.5m relief for the extra cap.

I think you have to trade Miller just because he has the highest worth. Coming off a 99 point season with two way capability he will fetch you a lot back in return.

Nobody else will give you too much coming back and his contract is going to balloon. Time to let the young guys take over.

I know it seems crazy to some to trade your best overall player they won't be able to keep him. Let someone else sign a 30 year old to a 6 year contract.

Those contracts almost always end in a tire fire.

I'd take Boeser, but honestly I hope the Sens aim higher

I think he will stay in Vancouver.

Miller is most likely to go. Highest return and no way the Canucks can afford to keep him after his contract expires.

Someone else can sign a 30 year to a 6 year deal.

Lol but they're letting Gaudreau walk so that they can keep Matthew forever. Honestly I still think my top hope for Sens is to grab Fiala. We'd be buying high on him but he's the right age and RFA and even if he can't match this year's point totals, he has a great two-way game. My plan B would be Filip Forsberg I guess..

Debrincat has an insane QO and would cost us so much to get, and played with Kane for so long plus he's so tiny, not sure if I'd go for him. I don't really know who else is available

But Sens being Sens we'll probably get someone much more underwhelming

yeah that QO is insane i think a lot of teams fans want him but dont know the kinda baggage hes bringing lol
tbh i also think fiala is a good option kinda hope the flyers go for him unless we manage to get goudreau in FA

yeah he will definitely be moved, but the Canucks can still use him til deadline if the offers are trash.

teams like LA, Carolina, etc. all have the capspace to pay his next contract. I feel like LA kings makes the most sense tbh, they have ton of prospects and RHD as well. They're pretty much ready to take the next step, and adding a 100pt player that can play in all situations would be a huge add. They gotta do it before kopitar/doughty gets even older anyway.

Can you even consider that a win?

AHL coach that has half a season worth of experience coaching the best player in the world... if he walked away that would be a new level of pathetic.

Good coach. Young. Relatable to the today's NHL player. The days of old school coaching are almost gone
