not exactly "Wilderness survival" but i just completed the Pacific Crest Trail. 2650.1 miles from mexico to canada along the west coast, i started march 31st 2017 and finished september 5th 2017.

one helllll of an adventure

(ps i also thru hiked the appalachian trail in 2016)


anyone got questions or considered a long hike? idk really what im getting at with this lol, seemed like the place to talk about it

hope your town isnt burning down atm then lol, the last two months have been a cluster fuck of fires and reroutes... seems like oregon/washington/montana have decided to join forces and burn down the entire PNW

That's awesome man. I wish I could spare the time to do something like that. I get maybe a week at most anymore, but I'm old and have a family and a business, etc. The best I ever got was living out in michigan in a tent for 3 months in the winter. It was rough at first, but being stationary was nice and had its advantages from a survival standpoint. I bet you saw some really great stuff along the way. Did you take any pictures?

i took about 600 pictures and maybe 30 mintutes of video, im working on getting and album setup online somewhere

definitely saw some pretty amazing places. the west coast is full of a variety of landscapes and natural beauty


e: life happens but its never too late id say aslong as your ass can walk you can do it. theres 80+ year old men and women who complete thru hikes solo. its just walking in the end

Oh its not a matter of being able to do it physically. Its more im busy all the time, i cant remember the last time i had more than a few days off, let alone enough time to do something like that. If i get a sokid week e er ill probably go to Alaska and stay at some remote cabin and go fishing and hiking.
