Started watching the man in the high castle, I swear I must have seen the pilot episode like a year ago and it must not have been picked up. Picked up by Amazon prime now so it has a second season, pretty good so far (just finished first season).

Premise is if the axis powers had won ww2 what the world would be like so now north America is under japan/German control (split down the middle by a "neutral zone"). There's a resistance group trying to get these films of the war showing the allies winning to "the man in the high castle" plus of course spies and double spies on both the nazi/jap sides.

Then at near the end of the first season they put in a massive twist that opens up a whole ton of possibilities for where the story will go, I'm excited to watch season 2 and see what they do with it but also will pretty apprehensive. Without giving anything away the best way to explain it is what happened with lost where each episode made you want to see the next/how they explain it and then (at least for myself) get really mad that the writers didn't actually know where they were headed or how to close plot holes so it could end up being some b.s. purgatory/dream/time travel schtick. Which is fine if done right but literally the majority of the first season was basically a ww2 spy thriller.
