I am hoping around the beginning of March / mid-March to start acquiring all the parts for my new computer. Will be my first build, so it should be fun haha. Anyway, I am not looking for a build just yet, going to wait a few more weeks for that. Right now I am just curious if anyone knows if newegg or microcenter offers military discounts? I can't seem to find any info on this on their sites.

/ee doesn't the Military stiill get APO/FPO catalogs, like we did back in the day....THEY were FULL of discounts?

Good job on the edit there, because I do get military discounts in various different places outside the PX

/e i do not have any, but at my unit hq they do. only reason why i haven't checked my px closest to me is because it is over an hour drive.. but i do have a microcenter about 15mi away

I was in the service from 75 to 82 ...... when overseas, we used to get APO/FPO catalogs, with godly discounts....don't you still get something like that?

/e they were like 3-4 inches thick and had everything from slippers to electronics

i do not get them directly, i am a reservist. they have older ones at my units hq though, i've never really browsed through them however

haha 'in those days'.. i really am cracking up. next drill i'll take a peek at what they've got. in the meantime i'll call newegg/microcenter sometime this week i suppose since no one can definitively tell me if they do offer some sort of discount
