Jaylen Brown needs to chill with the pull up 3s

Won't blame him for the L tonight because of the turnovers but he has hurt us big time in the last 2 games

Nesmith just keeps on going

haven't watched a lot of Celtics games but when I've watched them, their usual brand of smart/gritty team defense doesn't seem to be there

Yeah, we lead the league with players missing COVID. That's not using an excuse or crutch, but when your 3rd best scorer in Kemba doesn't play b2b's, it's hard to create a defensive identity. I miss the days where turnovers wouldn't be such an issue, and the fact that we have to rely on taking tougher shots at times = easier fast break opportunities for the other team.

Smart/Brown have been taking some really questionable shots + their defense hasn't been the same.

I don't know how Brown just lets people blow by him... It's a far contrast from years when he prided himself on good man to man D.

I think Brown is seeing Tatum grow over these past few games so he is trying to best him....

Tatum went for 60 against the Spurs and Brown refused to give up the ball

Agree that Smart is taking some questionable shots as well but still much improved over last year imo

depth was Boston's strength in many of their recent successful playoff runs and now their bench is pretty mediocre. I think that not picking a path between going young/win now is what ultimately led to all the empty hands (Kyrie, Rozier, Hayward, Morris, Kings pick, Grizz pick) also not being decisive/needing to win trades by wide margins or not dealing at all

You really can't tell which direction they chose? Let's take a look at the bench recently...

Pritchard-Langford-Nesmith-Rob Williams
Grant Williams if not Nesmith

Fournier will be the 6th man next to those draft picks from the previous 2-3 years....

Looks like they are patiently waiting and I have no issue with it
Sick of discussing this though so for the last time....I have 0 problems with waiting until JT and JB are 26+ like every other player that leads their team as the "guy"

How in the world does Powell murdering Smart's face on an OREB attempt result in a common foul?

lmao so fucking funny

Instead of a moving screen by Nurk, we get a Smart ejection for something that wouldn't have happened if Nurkic didn't set an illegal screen

To be fair, I had no idea why the fuck he thought keeping Morris and Rozier on the team was a good idea... Just a problem of too many mouths to feed, plus two guys trying to get the bag.
I think he tried to play it smart by making a deep run, but to be honest, it should've been clear that Irving isn't the type of player to lead any franchise.

FYI: I didn't mean to be a dick to everyone in the beginning of the season, I think we were all stressed out.

I was upset the Jays were going iso, but honestly I'd rather have them go through the growing pains to become All-NBA players. I truly think JT and possibly JB could both be superstars for our team.

I mean, I was pissed back then because it felt like we were not choosing a direction. Now, that we traded Theis, (pain....) and decided to go with 9-10 man rotation with a steadfast interest in working out Nesmith/Langford/Timelord.

PP, Langford, Nesmith, and Timelord look like excellent complimentary pieces to put around the Jays.

Our future will look bright in a year, not to be a green teammer.
