* Is it based around d2jsp GM ruling? - If not, it isnt' mainstream
* Is it a build that you would show up to a 500fg blind wager with? - If not, it isn't mainstream
* Is it a well laid out guide that is easy to understand and is it accurate? - If not, it doesn't need to be posted here
* Are the PvP Strategy sections complete and informative in a comprehensive format? - If not, it doesn't need to be posted here

Looks like Photobucket went back on their new "pay for" policies. Most of these old guides have been repaired due to Photobucket once against providing free hosting.

These guides are still damaged in terms of images being lost, for w/e reason that may be. I'll keep them posted here incase anyone wants to repair or replace them:

It slowly changes over time, from time to time.

But what we have listed here was all written by the oldest veterans who played this game for nearly 2 decades before moving on.

Most of the players who wrote these guides were notorious top duelists in Diablo 2 for years and years, a time before esports & streaming.

I can assure you as a person who participated heavily in this competition, and as the person who pushed some of these guys to write their guides to begin with so we could make this thread,

that you are looking at the true competitive Diablo 2 meta when you are looking at this page. There is no more, no less, no secret builds or tactics than what you see listed here. This is what it was in its entirety.

You won't find better guides anywhere else. Believe me, I've looked into it out of curiosity.

If anything, the remaining player base who is trying to retro game content create via streaming/youtube, is actually LOSING knowledge about Diablo 2.

and that es blizz guide is terrible infact there aren't any good 95es blizz guides out there

there are a bunch of bm gimmick builds that aren't in this list at least, but this is a gm char list so eh
there's no shortage of builds like town druids, town barbs, blaze sorc, poison barb, dreidelsin, etc, but town builds could have their own topic
though for some reason there's a summoner necro guide

in terms of remotely viable gm builds the only ones I see missing are the distinctions of ghost variants (spider, elephant, bison), brawler (pretty much 99% same as bvc so eh doesn't need a guide), pure fire druid, trangs fastnec, the distinction of pally variants (ie libby or full blown joder) and some niche sorc builds like aurasorc/ts sorc, firewall sorc, orb sorc, or the vita builds for blizz/fireball/lightning.
