Kind of happy they passed on those Cole/Rendon contracts.

Not getting Kluber either, wonder if they get Betts or Lindor soon.

Ryu signed with the Blue Jays. That sucked, I loved watching him pitch and think he added a lot to the team. I had heard the Dodgers only wanted to offer 3 years so for him to get an additional year at his age is important.

Very curious what they’ll do now that they’ve missed out on Cole, Strasburg, Keuchel, etc.

My hope is that they give Gonsolin a chance in the rotation. I think he could be a quality starter.

Alex Wood brought back on a one year contract, 4 million with incentives up to 10 million apparently. Cool, I like Wood and he could flex to the pen depending.

And Ross Stripling.

I don’t know what to think of this trade. I thought Verdugo would be a great player for them and I believe he’s signed through 2024, so if Mookie walks they’ll be in some trouble in the outfield considering they lost Pederson, as well.

As a fan I hate seeing Joc go. Always fun to watch and had some huge moments in big games in the past. He may have left after this year, anyway, so I’m hoping he has a stellar year for the Angels and gets a good contract.

Saw Maeda pitch in person a few times, including a game where he had 14 K’s, but he was clearly not cool with how the team used him and I hope he does great for the Twins.

Excited for baseball and to see which young guy has that break out year.

I’ll probably always remember him from game one of the 2018 World Series. The way his at bat set the tone for the whole series I had little hope after the first inning lol.

The Joc trade is off. I imagine he’ll be shipped somewhere else before the season, but who knows what they’ll get back in return. Hopefully a quality reliever if anything but I’d be more than fine with him just returning for next year. Stripling, too. Start him from the pen day one and if shit goes south put him in the lineup.

Kershaw, Buehler, Price, Wood, Gonsolin/Stripling/May seems fine to me.
