And yzerman says "do it." Knowing the cap crunch everyone is under, for most teams to offer that money, they'd need to move pieces out.
So my guess, he's not signed by the deadline. And he's not signed by July 1st. And everyone overreacts , and then he signs with the wings sometime in July.
That would be fine, as long as he stays in a winged wheel lol.
Preferably id just want to get him his contract asap. I dont doubt he has loyalty to this club being a local kid and captain of the team, but i would REALLY hate to lose him period, and especially for nothing.
Now thats not gonna happen with stevie, and i definitely have an emotional bias here, but fuck please dont let larkin go lol. L
Unless stevie wants to trade him at the deadline with a handshake deal in place to bring him back in the offseason. I'd be okay with that too, but overall i just dont want my boy to be moving on to another team period lol.
