It's incredible really.

All he has to say is I built Markstrom and Demko lol.

Pretty solid bargaining chips.

/e I don't know much about other teams goaltending coaches but I am wondering who else is in the elite company at that position.

i dont think it matters if theres 30 other teams wanting him, it's ultimately clark's choice where he wants to coach at this point.

I think he would go to Florida, chance to coach bob again and there's also Spencer Knight.

Rumors said that he already made his decision to leave awhile back, and that's that. However seeing how he's still willing to meet with Benning about a raise means that he could still stay as long as he gets paid what he wants... but it seems like Aquaman doesnt wanna open up the wallet for him

Donnie and dhali interviewed Benning this morning

- Benning sounded confident a deal will get done to bring back Clark, I'm still not confident til its done

- confirmed that the team is talking to the sedins, they want to learn the job from ground up. Wanna work by putting in the work first. Does not wanna be a desk job employee related to hockey.

- Schmidt did not request a trade, has no idea where this rumor came from (lol media gonna keep going down the list til eventually 1 says they did at this point, at least all the core/meaningful players have been confirmed not wanting a trade)

- spoke to edler, Hamonic and Sutter after exit meetings about their fa status. (I'm scared Benning will sign them too expensive or too long)

- thinks juolevi did well before he got covid and one of the players that got destroyed by it. He lost 15 pounds and didn't look good after he got back

- podkolzin will be signed after worlds

-saw the banners, understands the fan frustration etc. Not as hard on him than his family, especially his daughter.

-expects the building and schedule to be back to "normal" in September

brackett was with the org since 08, but yeah he definitely needed to revamp his scouting team sooner cuz it was soooo trash

I think Gillis would be the perfect president/GM to come back to the org since the core is all setup for him to make another run but that's not happening gg

GM Jim Benning: “It would have been nice to win. Even to go to No. 2, it would have been nice. But with our luck with the lottery, I'm not surprised.”

Same, 9 is still really good for this draft cuz anyone from 1 to 13 can be a gem.
