But we didn’t get Barrie therefore we are much better off!

Considering the prices paid I say benning did well on the toffoli deal.

Uhh so Markstrom out a couple of weeks. Fuck. Demko will have to hold down the fort. He can do it but he's not good enough if the team keeps putting out putrid defensive efforts.

Ya that was tough to see.

Have to look at the season overall though.

With the moves made and the way the team has played this season it is a huge improvement.

I am worried about the cap situation but at least we are a month away from playoffs still right in the thick of hit.

That has not happened in a long time. I am satisfied at this point in time.

Yeah I don't fault Benning for just Toffoli, though we could've used defensive depth better. We're really vulnerable to injuries in the blueline, been lucky even.

i dont think oilers/knights aquiring those players are as crucial as losing markstrom. GG

Happy they didnt make a desperation move. It isn't the time no matter how impatient the fans are.

yeah it's devastating to not have GODstrom down the stretch. we can play differently with him in net because he's so good when he faces high volumes. Demko is a good goalie but just not as consistent.

on the bright side, we finally get to see how Demko does. If he proves that he's ready to be a starter, i think Benning would just let Markstrom walk... lol too bad trade deadline is over haha
at least the leverage would be on Benning's side when they discuss Markstroms new contract in the off season IF demko performs as expected
