Man yesterday I literally thought about how Guds was basically Luke Schenn and then they call the guy up. How many more years are we stuck with th Guds again?

What are you gonna do.

Lost to a powerhouse by just 1 goal on the road on the 3rd game on 4 nights with Pouliot and Biega, two guys that shouldn't even be in the lineup, as our 2nd pair (not to mention the injuries on forward).

Pretty damn good effort considering.

yeah the game overall was pretty decent, but it just showed the sheer skill gap the Canucks need to address over time. it felt like the Sharks were us in 2011, winning left and right even though they didn't play as well as they should have.

Fingers crossed no rash moves are made in a desperate attempt to make the playoffs.

We are just not quite there yet.

As others have said. Too many missing pieces.

D is weak overall and riddled with injuries.

Forward group lacks skill aside from a few obvious players.

Goaltending is headed in the right direction and the building blocks are there.

Think we just have to be patient. This will come together.

yeah really hope Aquaman isn't pressuring Jimbo for playoff revenue. right now I don't think anyone else in the league is skating with a worse blueline. we aren't going to get more points than our competition down the stretch.

Benning said he won't be going after players that costs them prospects or picks (future) , so I think him and aquaman are on the same page with that. If they make the playoffs somehow, great. If not, meh they get a decent 1st rd pick. Win-win

Hughes joining the blueline will be huge, it will limit pouliot's toi or at least biega lol. Also there will be another player other than Petey that can skate into the o-zone other than dumping it in or turning it over.

I think Granlund/schaller are done. I was hoping sutter would be traded, but ofc he's injured. Especially when beagle and gaudette can do his part. Goldobin didn't play too well last game, but I think the canucks are still gonna be patient with him unless they get a offer for him

I'd be OK with Sutter sticking around, he's not too old and fills a necessary role. With Beagle sucking and Gaunce busting no one's gonna take his niche for the next while. Granlund sucks and I don't think he'd fetch more than a 6th/7th.

Our real deadline carrot is Edler who should be good to go for a trade. I'd also prefer that he sticks around but if I were in his position I'd much rather sign with a contender on July 1st. If odds aren't good he will resign we need to get a good return.
