a cheap ploy by a pathetic company that is going to start doing even worse once nba season is in full swing because AEW will partner up with NBA the same way wwe has been with all fox related sports (boxing football etc), since AEW and NBA r both on TNT, the ppl who will tune into TNT for NBA will see AEW and give it a try since its brand new, they will see that not all pro wrestling is garbage, a nd aew will get even bigger, where as NFL fans know what WWE is about and have hated it for years so it gets zero new eyes on the product the way they've been doing it.

I have a feeling AEW will become like WCW in their peak glory days and seriously hit WWE hard

i agree but only to a certain extent, no wrestling company will ever be as high in ratings as peak wcw or peak wwe because people as a whole just arent into it like they used to be. but jesus christ the card for tonights dynamite is stacked as fuck.


gonna be damn near impossible to get 6million ppl watching any wwe/aew show nowdays like wcw previously had back in 98

and certainly no wrestling show will ever hit wcw's peak rating of 8.1

pac vs moxley next week is gonna be such a kick ass match, i love how they are actually building storys and keeping us invested.

AEW = Cody Rhodes & Jericho...only main reason why I skip thro that show so far
Jericho looks like a mega star, cody rhodes looks like a main eventer but everyone else meh
Swagger being jerichos bitch is meh (he literally reminds me of McIntyre standing next to shane as his lackey and ziggler or whoever he was the lackey for before that)

There's too much wrestling in AEW

NXT sucks xD, never liked it. the black crowd with 30 people makes it unwatchable for me

wwe's video packages are trash compared to aew's tbh bro, you just think there's too much wrestling BECAUSE you are skipping through the show instead. they are building up really good story lines long term which is an aspect that wrestling's been missing ever since the attitude era.

what they are doing with jake hager is better than what wwe did with him when he was "swagger" the guy can't talk or cut a promo to save his life and his lisp makes him seem like a far less serious threat, the non talker enforcer role is fucking perfect for him.

as far as moxley being a jobber dude the match they had with him and pac vs hangman and omega last night was the best tag match ive seen in a long time in terms of story telling, it's been far too long since a wrestler decided to leave his partner for dead in the middle of the ring.

you are just being a typical mid 2000s wrestling fan and refusing to watch the newer people because you don't know their names or credentials with other independent companies, the lucha bros heel turn when they've been faces in the wrestling scene for almost a full decade (to people who dont only watch wwe) was epic and they did it in a way that drew so much heat with how they took out daniels it keeps people invested in seeing private party vs them next week and scu if they can beat the dark order.


if we are being honest, meltzer rates matches based on the ability to tell a story with your wrestling, the quality of your wrestling, the pops that you get, etc; and AEW's smaller roster has more 5 star matches combined than wwe's entire mega roster, you just don't know them and refuse to get to know them because of the product youve been watching for years, the facts are tho that smackdown lost 1 million + viewers between last week and this week and they used bischoff as the fall guy and fired him, AEW has been and will continue to win the ratings war because its an all around more serious show, the fact that it has better wrestling and more wrestling is why wwe looks like a joke in comparison.


also hager being with jericho isnt anywhere near the same as drew being with shane, because of one very huge difference, jericho is WINNING DECISIVELY and celebrating with his stable, everytime wwe gets a good stable of heels going they lose almost right fucking away which just defeats the purpose of a bunch of bad guys teaming up entirely, why would they do it if it wont benefit them and win them the majority of their matches, they are bad guys for fucks sake, why team with anyone even other bad guys, if it wont benefit the results of your matches. There are so many elements that make aew more serious and a better 2 hour watch and more like the oldschool wrestling scene that was bigger than anything on t.v., that i cant even begin to name them all. lol. wwe becoming what it is now is the reason so many people lost interest, and the reason why we will never see a rating of 8million people having watched a show live on usa or tnt, ever fucking again.
