It's a little different than what I have done.

I don't go full int, it is not necessary and you sacrifice killing speed in my opinion.

I go 50vit, 50 int, everything else dex.

MQ setup, makes a pretty decent hybrid on HC

+1% Magical Damage Reduction
+37% Heal Mastery
+5% Mana Skin

+1% Damage Return
+54% Heal Mastery

Angelic heal XIV
Level Req: 55
Mana Cost: 109

+223% Enhanced Effect
+19 Vitality
+1 to 22 Life per Kill
+1% Glancing Blow

To be honest, you be better off just going full melee and putting 60-70 in vita. And just go all out on the damage and you would kill quicker, get enough shrines and just shrine quick and continue. Although in catas, I can maybe see the Int paying off because of your heal charm. But in terms of soloing, full melee would wreck it.

First off, I wouldn't do this build in today's version at all unless I was in a god awful group where the casters didnt have good heal charms.

And you say "in catas", is there another option? Lol @ "in terms of soloing"

That build is mainly geared to give him a sensible mix of damage and at the same time give nice heal charm a good boost.

Only way it would work for anyone else is that they have basically the same gear.

My subconscious hasn't realized solo is gone, so I mean solo catacombing.

My points are easy to understand, but I can understand you would never "solo" in this version.

I'm just saying solo wise, I would rather use a full melee type character due to persistent playing and shrines.

And in Multiplayer Catas your build works for it.

This is where alot of people go wrong when going full intelligence and making their Monk Melee / Heal only... you are better off thinking of your primary with full int.
Your "Primary" from what I can see is the same as mine.... Heal. NOW, since you have expended every point into Intelligence, then you should utilise that like me, making
your "Secondary" Casting, and of course "Backup" is Melee.

1. Prime Heal
2. Secondary Casting (which you will get accustomed to do more often... this I know)
3. Backup Melee (when you are main healer in group encountering NMNM or large EPs, this comes in handy even with Heal Mastery gear on)

Side Note:
With the above and 45 Vita... You will also be able to solo Catacombs with this build from 55-71 if (IF) you have a good high Heal Mastery Robe (and if your heal on main with 30+ int), and using your concept of being a Melee / Healer. Please also note that if your weapon has High HM with High EE, you are able to keep the stat robe on.

70 Intelligence build does work as a backup healer or a constant healer... only fault I find with this... shrining alot if your team can not kill fast enough.

@ TJ ... that gear is just too good... if average Joe had that type of gear, they would not need a guide... just commonsense, which you show you have.
If I had your weapon, I would change out for Casting and go pure Int build... the LPK on that would be ideal for a Caster that Multis just after another caster
and gets 3-5 monster kills in a wave...

And your robe is sexy for a Solo Cata runner with full int build... Actually your items make a good Solocata-artist.

Making a monk i would start by going 55 vita and then all the rest would go into int. I cast a monk all the way from 1 to 71 :)

A little tough to do that sometimes this late in the HC season with so many alchs and locks that need a melee in the group

Its best to be able to cast or melee as needed

maybe useful for single games, but not for 5 player games - especially when the group is pre-made
in my eyes there are only 2 ways to play monk in full group: pure caster (who can heal too ofc) or pure meele (if u like/group needs with some int for backup heals)
