i mean, that is the whole reason anyone ever buys anything - that it's worth more to that person than the fg he/she gives to get it
if you think a glyphable/mutable item is worth more than what everyone else is willing to pay, you should glyph/mute it

this mode of reasoning denies the existence of ethic and over-reduces the complexity of human behavior.

even if your objection is what i think it is - which isn't clear at all, since you haven't explained it - i think you're the one oversimplifying here.
