Yes, 2018 offseason going to be full of explosions....and by that I mean DC blowing up because Harper and Machado will both be FA's and nobody knows if they'll pay Machado and what Harper wants to do...I'm sure the Lerner's would pay Harper, but it's his call if he wants to stay or go somewhere else. At least this Stanton move makes it less likely he goes there, so....There's that.

It sounds like the organization wants to ride out this season in mediocrity before doing a slow, painful rebuild for several years after Manny and Britton leave for nothing. Also sounds like Buck has other plans as well, either retiring or moving into a FO position.

Going to be back to that 1998-2011 period where we had nothing going, most likely.

Could of gotten something for him at last years trade deadline, but instead you get nothing, not even his pitching for 2018.
