They don't self-destruct unless they are low on HP or have taken a certain amount of damage.
When I first got to Gran Pulse, I decided to try and go on to the story but got stuck at the Behemoth. Not knowing that I could just walk pass by them by timing their position, I continued to fight them over and over again and loss and loss. I tried different scenarios and battle teams and still did not work. So I just trained at the penguins and figured out how to stagger one and keep the other one at 99% stagger.

The trick was to stagger behemoth and keep the other one at 99%. Took a bit to figure it out. It's easy now ofcourse, and I could have probably killed them anytime had I known what to do at the beginning of Gran Pulse. But definitely it does not take 60 seconds.

e; 30 seconds.

E: King Behemoth doesn't have 120k HP, not even close.

was a figure of speech, i beat them my first time just launch the behemoth and keep him launched, as soon as he is in the air go com/rav/rav  with hope as rav  hope will do 12kdmg per attack and your commando(pref lightning) will do about 15k per attack    my other raveger was sazh but he's weak


now when i do them after the behemoth is staggered i do 60kish per hit with light and 40k per with hope


also no need to keep the dog staggered O_O he does shit dmg, with a proper synergist, u will have enfire already on, and its soo fkkn quick

If I killed the Wolf, then staggering the Behemoth won't work in time because he transforms, so I die there as well.

Staggering Behemoth broke me 9k damage per hit with Lightning. 20k at 500% Stagger, and my setup was Com/Rav/Rav. I had 1.5k life at most with all my characters.

Btw, my guys are double buff. So I play Medic/Syn/Syn and still lose.

if you do get tired of the tiara they sell for 45k, so after your done using them its ez pz


i keep the haste shoes always tho rofll i have like 15 pair O_O
