Eugene Melnyk died.

Rest in peace to the Euge. Despite his rocky relationship with our fanbase, I did think he was sincere when he said he wanted to bring a cup to Ottawa and was going to go through with this rebuild and spend when it was time.

All the respect to him, he did some good in the community and for the team

His last act as owner was to provide support for Ukraine. Charitable donations from the 50/50 draws, turned the arena into a drop-off point for clothing and medical supplies, etc etc.
