puss in boots: the last wish. Actually worth watching, and I don't usually watch movies unless they're really good.

Check out reviews and see if everybody is giving it good reviews, not just one side. For example, that new megan movie looks like dogshit to me, and the reviews may show it being above average, but they are still not an A+ if we look at rotten tomatoes. A+ would be 92+ for both viewers and critics for me. Also, you can sometimes tell whether something will be trash just by the trailers.

Also, when looking at reviews I take into account if said movie has a lot of blind fanboys or if it's a movie by a company that bought out the review website. For example, black panther 1 and 2 looks like horseshit to me, but has good reviews. Also, another good example is zac snyders justice league. The movie is still bad but has 94 from fans. I have never seen someone butcher the batman and superman character so hard, initially with batman v superman, and then with justice league.

The Man from Earth (2007) - Pretty interesting flick, I enjoyed it. It'd be hard to recommend tho cuz it's ugly because they filmed it on a camcorder or some shit.
The Menu (2022 HBOmax) - Dope, I think I'm a bit of a sucker cuz I was really into food network shit a while back. Probably not quite as good as I think it is.
Brick (2005) - Honestly a cool concept of doing a neo-noir in a highschool setting. If it were done badly it'd be a nightmare to watch but it's really well scripted and acted.
Porky's (1981) - Fun ass movie. Some funny lines, funny scenes, all around a pretty enjoyable and entertaining lowbrow movie.
Ender's Game (2013) - I'm a fuckin slut for the Ender's Game series and I've gotta say for all the missteps this movie has it's overall very decent and true to the book.
American Hustle (2013) - Pretty good but that chick from the office seems like a bad casting choice.

It’s only a fraction of importance to me, if it wasn’t I would be watching every high rated movie. Van Helsing is pretty good but gets shit on by reviews. You can usually tell when something is trash by listening to dialogue in trailers, especially when you hear generic dialogue.

Inherent Vice (2014) - Fuckin wild ride. It's really hard to follow sometimes especially cuz sometimes lines are mumbled intentionally and the story can feel incoherent. Fun to watch tho, Joaquin Phoenix is fun as hell to watch playing a dumb hippy (reminiscent of Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski).

I think all of Joaquin Phoenix's movies include mumbled lines. It's his way
