The Gentleman looks cool Ill check that out
End of the Road looks pretty awful so I'll check that out too lmao

Licorice Pizza (2021 - not free anywhere) - Honestly pretty good. Story kinda meanders sometimes and there's scenes where you wonder what the point is but that's okay. Some funny scenes, good dialogue, well acted, hard to complain when it checks the right boxes.

The Gentlemen is a solid movie combination of story telling, action and comedy. I quite enjoyed that one.

The Gentleman was just okay. Some of it was good some of it was just aight. A lot of the time the characters felt like caricatures or something theyre just too ridiculous lol.

Rewatched My Dinner With Andre god I love this fuckin movie. It's so ridiculous. Maybe I'm just some lowbrow pseudo-intellectual but I enjoy it every time.

Waiting for Guffman (1996 - idk if it's streaming anywhere). Pretty fuckin funny, a lot of the same actors as Best in Show which I think is fuckin hilarious. It's not quite as good as Best in Show but it has some really great lines and everyone has great chemistry.

Watched all LOTR movies on HBO. Original trilogy is a fuckin banger. I hit up the extended versions for the OG trilogy and for Desolation of Smaug (1st and 3rd hobbit movies didnt look like they had extended versions).

League of Extraordinary Gentleman (2003 - HBO) EZZZZZZ rewatch. Actually such a fun movie. Sean Connery plays his role well which is unsurprising but the surrounding characters/cast elevate him rather than drag him or his character down. Id put it in the same category as Fast and Furious 1-3. Movies that arent thought provoking or deep or philosophical or whatever the fuck but theyre damn fun to watch.

Days of Being Wild (1990 - HBOmax) - Hong Kong drama. Some of it is really boring but when it's good it's insanely fucking good. There's some really sick lines towards the middle and the end of the movie.

Irma Vep (1996 - HBOmax) - I wouldnt know how to exactly explain this movie but I can say I enjoyed it a lot. Maggie Cheung plays herself as an actress doing a movie in France but the characters all feel very, uhhh human? Idk how to describe it. Well acted and written and the music is cool and there are some interesting camera shots. Ending was a little odd, I think I'd have to ask someone that actually knows cinema for a breakdown.

Biker Boyz (2003 - HBOmax) - I have no idea what compelled me to watch this. Maybe hoping it holds up in the same way that Fast and Furious 1 does. Sad reality is that it tries to do all the same things as F&F1 but does all of them (considerably) worse. Lmao.

A Cure for Wellness (2016)

I was intrigued by the concept of this movie and can appreciate a good suspense/thriller that keeps you thinking. I kept expecting more out of this film, maybe I had expectations too high. I felt the obvious, glaring issue that was captivating everyone at the Sanitarium was obvious ~ apparently not to the main character. Too many instances of recurring themes with little progression, moments of "Ok now he's got it, right?". No, he doesn't. It turns into almost a Halloween themed movie ride in the last 20 minutes, really fell off. It wasn't awful, I just didn't think it was good.

Fallen Angels (1995 on HBOmax) - Another weird HK flick. Has some really strong camera work and dialogue. Story is pretty fuckin weird and so are the characters but they drop these really profound gems in there that makes all the weirdness worth it. These movies are so hard to explain to other people. There's some part of them that I cant quantify or express to someone if I try to explain why I enjoy them. Same as Chungking Express or Days of Being Wild but at least the former is ez to recommend even if it's kinda weird.
