Scrolled through Netflix and found ‘Room’ ..... (no people, not The Room... smh)
Story about a mom(she’s been kidnapped and raped repeatedly) and a young boy who are held captive in a small room. For the woman 7 years and the boy his entire life. And on his 5th birthday she decided she wants to escape.
I liked it, well because I like movies like this. So it was easy to enjoy. The performances were pretty good by both he mother and kid.
It’s rated 8.2 on IMDB and it apparently won and Oscar. I had no idea about any of this before seeing it
Saw it after it won an oscar. I also thought it was very good. It's on netflix currently for those who would like to watch
OZ. Generally I've been moving away from movies because i dont enjoy the story or character development/arcs as much as a well done tv show. Movies feel too rushed.
God damn this is an intense television show. Acting is fantastic and the character development and the psychological rollercoaster of prison is intensely displayed differently through each character. Haven't been able to stop watching. Currently on season 5.
