The girl with all the gifts
Decent Zombie movie, nothing spectecular but worth watching.

Los in La Mancha
Just sad to see the excited crew and Terry Gilliam who try to make Don Quixote back in 2000, not knowing that the project will fail. Just happy for him he realized his vision and I am pretty excited to see The Man who killed Don Quixote in 2018

Fast food nation
Annoyed the crap out of me with this "in your face message". You can transport critisism way more subtle and effective. Ethan Hawke had a few pretentious monologues , like in many other movies. Got my blood boiling. Don't get me wrong, the message is important and must be heard, but this movie deliverd it pretty poorly.

I love you Phillip Morris
Loved it, Jim Carrey just shows that he can play anything. Enjoyable humor with some emotional moments. Realy liked it.

Florence Foster Jenkis
Light and harmless entertainment. Enjoyable to watch with good actors staring in it, except Simon Helberg, he's horrible.

The big sick.

Pretty cool movie imo. Would give it a 7/10.

Didnt try too hard to be anything more than what it was, and it was great because of that.

Blade Runner with Rutger Hauer and Dustin Hoffman

-great atmosphere
-good acting
-nice story
-predictions they got right in early 80's about the time we live in today
-thought provoking to a degree

but also

-slow paced (i personally liked it, but most wouldn't i think)
-old as F effects
-things they got wrong for 2019

Overall it wouldn't work to relaunch it in current state due to dated effects and pace, but even for today's standards i'd give it a 7/10 because despite downsides, it was engaging to watch and you could relate to the main characters.

cheers

What if I told you they weren't trying to predict the future, so they didn't get anything "wrong".

Proyecto Lázaro (aka Realive) (2016)

Interesting scifi movie on the concept of starting a new life after being cryogenically frozen, but it gets held back by it's unnecessarily long duration and slow pace (there's an overuse of flashbacks imo). It's not bad, and the plot takes some risks I appreciate, but it could have been better.

Nocturnal Animals (2016)

Great acting, some great shots and an excellent tension in some scenes. However the movie slows down and seems to get tangled in itself at some point, as if the director kind of lost control of what was on the way of becoming a great movie. This negative aspect climaxes at the end.

A very powerful first third. A very intriguing second one. And a very confusing third one.

It's still a good movie overall. The pros outweigh the cons and the director definitely showed talent and great potential, despite the fact I didn't like how he handled the last third of the film. Will keep an eye on him in the future.

Free Fire - Meh...
Black Dynamite - Cool style, hilarious movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - Entertaining and predictable, typical Marvel stuff
Gifted - standard drama, nothing surprising, badly presented product placement (at least it's fun to watch just for the incredible amount of sponsored advertisement in it)
Donnie Brasco - Incredible acted, good mafia movie.
Blue Ruin - It's ok...
The Girl Next Door - Surprised me, good Tennie movie.
Coherence - Pretty stupid, butchered science pretty hardly but for a low budget Sci-Fi/Mystery movie it's ok. Good idea, bad execution.
Holes - Fun family entertainment, didn't like the jumping back and forth between timelines stuff. Would have liked it to see more of the ordinary camp life.
Les Misérables - Not a huge fan of musicals, no surprise I didn't like the movie.
