Thanks Raynor,

I am a little bit troubled however with some of the suggestions.
Many suggestions are things I cannot consume: no pure pea protein, no green beans, I have to add brocolli to the no list, no peanuts, almonds, no beans of any type.
Sadly natural beef jerky isn't that accessible in Canada, at least not at prices that could fit my budget.

I'll use a bit of the foundation of the other things you'd mentioned but could I ask you for some more sample diet plans?

I appreciate you man, thanks.

Hey there. I must have missed the peas/green beans being contrary to your diet. For the protein powder, there are a lot of other possibilities. Try Carnivor Beef Protein Isolate to start with. You can eliminate the beef jerky and replace it with any other type of meat jerky (if available). If not, you can also try natural pork rinds or Ostrim.

Have a severely herniated disk in my lower back and a slightly pinched nerve in my neck, affecting my shoulders. I've already gotten a shot for the one in my back and have two more scheduled.

Looking for another opinion on getting the shots vs straight up getting a part of the disk removed. Do you think the risk is worth the cost?

Is there anything other than stretching, anti inflammatory meds, and ice I can do to relieve symptoms on a daily basis so I can keep training?

So, I was concerned with the way I'd been feeling for awhile... I've been tired, less motivated, not much gains at the gym if any, no libido, some slight depression (I associate to losing my dad).. The breaking point was a few months ago.. I was getting ready to get some ass and shit just wasn't working..

So, I went to my doctor and had him order my labs... Everything was good, from my lipid panel to my TSH/PSH levels.. My test levels look great.. So my big thing is, what can I do to fix this?

here's my labs:

Free test: 13.2 ng/dl (5.05-19.8 ng/dl)
Test: 602 ng/dl (240-950 ng/dl)
DHEAS: 266 (105-728)
Triglycerides: 61
HDL: 78
LDL: 155 "a little high"

I'm eating great, usually 5-8oz lean protein per meal, a carb and veg... I'm drinking a lot of water, I'm getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night.. What more can I do to fix this?

It can be a dangerous procedure with obvious risks. If possible, it is always better to try alternatives before surgery.

With regards to alternatives, Yoga can be tremendously beneficial. In addition, take some good anti inflammatory supplements, such as: Omega 3 (NOW! Ultra Omega 3), L-glutathione (NOW! L-Glutathione), Tuneric (NOW! Turmeric and Bromelain ), Curcumin (NOW! Curcumin), Boswellia Extract, and Antioxidants (NOW! Antioxidants)

Also, rest/ice/compression/elevation (R.I.C.E) always helps inflammation.

If you do the above, you should have serious relief. If it doesn't work, and it gets worse, surgery MIGHT be the only option. Remember, you can use anti-inflammatory meds like Advil/ibuprofen as needed if you need some immediate relief.

This sounds more psychological than anything. You have described depression to the "T".

Treating depression is NOT easy, and can be a long and arduous internal process. You have to prepare yourself mentally for the road ahead, and mostly you have to have the desire to actually get better.

Seeing a psychiatrist can help, just be careful of medicating. Certain anti-depressants have more libido suppressing properties and can lead to dependence.

Besides sufficient sleep, proper nutrition, and at least 8 hours of sleep a night - the key component is going to be mental health and addressing the underlying issues. Also, if you watch pornography or masturbate, discontinue it immediately. The longer you go without sexual stimulation, the greater the chance of optimal performance.

There are also medications such as viagra and cialis that can help - although they aren't the be-all-end-all.

Excellent! Approx 10g BCAA prior to workout on the morning fast, and Post-Workout is extremely important on keto. It helps prevent muscle wasting during periods of exercise with fasting.

Having almost the exact same thing as this post...

Never had this happen to me before. Took 3months off working out even eating healthy and cardio to study for an exam.

Got back to gym and did arms for the first time in 3months and felt incredibly sore the next 3-5days. The worst soreness ive ever had, not even able to extend it and actually felt pain stretching. Thought it was doms so just waited.

Went to do arms again today and my left arm was absolutely shot. Couldnt even so 3reps... moved down to 25lb and did prob 5reps then just had to stop. Actually felt nothing in there.

Should I be worried??
Just curling with no weight i feel strength up to about 120deg and its all my joints at that point..

Edit;
Im cutting down slightly but have eaten about 1g protein for 1lb every day for almost 2years now. Just more fat and junk food the past3 months.

Maybe the "pain" is gone but my left arm is still recovering?
Hammer curls felt a bit more strength but supinated curl is what scared me. My right is fine

Any insight on the Renaissance Periodization?

After being diagnosed with htn, I really want to hone in my nutrients while still being capable of athletically performing.. Literally everybody I talk to says to check out RP.

E: after going over every risk factor for htn, my doc chocks it up to genetics.. But I still feel as though that I can do something to help lower it.. Even if it’s just a little. And hctz helps.

Could be an actual bicep tear. Have you been to a doctor yet? If you have been off for 3 months and having this residual effect, there is a good chance you have a tear.
