Heard too many numerous reports that 120-130 was just as effective as 150.

I've done 6 test melee climbs, 150 is best.

I tried a 130/110 build and it was absolutely horrible.

So... you are just posting on personal opinion. Many others have climbed and prefered the 130ish Dex.

Why aim for 150 dexterity? Many players have found that less is equally effective, and extra strength can be more effective than dexterity.
Why add the first 10 to dexterity? Strength is more effective at low levels to get consistent damage, where your life returns are much more effective from lpk, and most players will not have large dex bonuses from items at lower levels, making crits less effective. Even with the first 10 added to strength, you can achieve a highly functional amount of dexterity by level 30 or so, with large bonuses from items really coming into play around this level.
Why would you want life steal for level 0-30? Life steal is ineffective at low levels, while lpk/lpa can carry you through lower levels without problems.

Due to the argument from people too lazy to make a guide, I won't continue this.

E: I'll just keep the guides private.

argument? We are trying to do some constructive criticism to help make the guide better.

I realize it, and I like the "constructive criticism". However some of these people haven't even tested it.

Its constructive criticism from people with experience in the same field. 6 runs is hardly proving ground for the most effective way to build something up. Personal playstyle is a different affair, as with guides you need to show the whole community the aspects of building it.
