Some people have a tendency to piss me off, though. So I'm just playing HC using only self-found gear and whatnot.

Not really true.....Dex still gives you faster attack, higher crits (i have seen no more than 100 lower crit on top end) and more crits

Yes, it was lowered a bit, but trust me....Dex is still the most important stat on a melee character


im lvl 71 and still fighting and im having no trouble with my dex build, and im seeing nearly no difference in damage dealt

yep, the new update now allows you to make strengh builds without getting raped by dext monsters AND caster monsters at lvl 60+

but i have to not agree with this part :



dext builds still works almost as good as before. it still allows you to hit faster, and to have some nice critical hits. plus, try to use swords on a strengh build and see what happens

i also see that in your builds its all about strengh or vita ... why not strengh/dext? imo it would be nice to have some consistant pretty high dmg with pretty good chances to get a critical hit, not to forget about the protection against crits (they will be lower, but believe me, they'll still be there)

Pure dex is probably not the way to go now that crits are reduced, but it's still good to get a certain amount of dex, because it still increases your attack speed and critical strike dmg quite abit at first.
but as you pump dex, each point becomes less and less valueable, where as str keeps its value per point.



so it might be wise to look for gear with str and dex , rather than just loading up on one

Didnt read 100% , but I see you dont support dex anymore , even if it gives:

Defense vs crits
Crits
Attack speed.

Anyway, I think that dex > Str

still.

Dex is still very effective.

I haven't test anything out yet. But I am thinking 140-160 dex with 150+ str will be pretty pimped.

Yup , and pure str will not work well . This guide isn't very good , sorry
