will the lvl 15 (or whichever) defiance aura effect as a holy shield synergy (as in the way marrowwalks are used on necro)? or does it merely equip that aura and not effect holy shield's defense lvl? i have 10 stat pts on my zealot on wondering if i should pump into defiance, or if it would mererly nullify the synergy bug.

Synergy bug/feature only relates to skill charges, not auras.

exile will give you lvl XX defiance along with any other aura you want, so you'll use fanat since you're zeal. Pts in defiance will add to the def from holy shield but you will not get that added onto your exile aura. I'm not sure if plus skills go into the exile aura, probably do.

so any access pts i have after maxing holy, zeal, fanat and sacrifice SHOULD go into defiance??? can anyone confirm if the exile aura stacks onto pts in defiance??

The aura that you get when equipped with Exile will not get a synergy from any of your skill points - it's completely independent. It's similar to the charge of an item - they are completely isolated. Any points after maxing Holy Shield, Zeal, and Fanatiscm, should go to Sacrifice, as it is a synergy to Zeal. After Sacrifice, I guess you could put it into Charge, or whatever you want. Defiance is a synergy of Holy Shield, however.

Points after Zeal, Fana, Sacrifice, Holy Shield are best spent-In my opinion-on Blessed Aim. If you don't know why then you are either A. Noob, or B. Idiotic. Possibly both.

Well, I don't currently have a Pally. But everyone should know the hidden Blessed Aim bonus by now....I prefer AR over a bit of Defense.

I did not state it was noobish to go with Defiance instead, merely it was noobish to not know about the Blessed Aim hidden bonus. Just to clarify.
