Do Ancestral rares have higher change of producing veiled crystals then Sacreds?

I don't think so. It's random. Sometimes you may not even get crystals from either sacred or ancestral

On the other hand I would continue to farm ancestral rares in case you find a godly item

Item power may be a factor. When I broke 7 legendary jewelry pieces down at ip 300, only 1 gave an obstruce sigil. Breaking 7 ip 500 legendary jewelry pieces gave 7.
