Hi! I had built my first computer years ago, I remember I had just built it like 2 weeks before the 980 graphics card had come out in like 2014-2015 time haha...

With very little research, I've come up with this -

Obviously, I am really out of date on what's used frequently. I tried to look at things highly and often reviewed as my guide. I'm comfortable with a build around $2500 USD, then 2 screens added on from that.

In there is everything I think I need to build it, including 2 new monitors I'd need, mine aren't currently even 1ms/144hz. I use ethernet, so the motherboard not having wifi is okay with me I think.

I'm a pretty casual gamer, but I've been pretty blocked out from games like Elden Ring and Diablo 4 unless I can use my brother's pc.
I'd like to have a setup that leaves me comfortable for the next 5+ years.

Did I do okay? Would you change anything? Yell at me and tell me I'm wrong, its okay. Maybe you could help me save a few dollars for the same power output, who knows.

Ideally, $2500 for the build or cheaper, then 2 new screens to go with it. Thanks again.

Add in whatever monitors

Can go rtx 4090, not worth the price jump imo especially if gaming at lower res.

Thanks for the input, I've never used AMD Ryzen but I'm sure they're just fine.

Is the graphics card size / weight an issue? With a mid tower, I don't know how tight everything might get or any sagging issues.
But you're right, I didn't think I needed the 4090 either. Just a bit too much overkill for my budget/needs.

And are RAM sticks working their way to 16gb per stick now instead of 8gb? I hadn't seen that before.
Tower is good looking tho :p

GPU could have some sag, I haven’t personally used one of these in any builds yet, but it can be easily remedied if so. I do believe it will actually hit the bottom fan on the aio, so swap it for something shorter than 12” and all will be good.

16gb ram is already being utilized with some heavy gaming/multitasking, 32gb will be better imo.

The case is definitely a great budget option, (did multiple builds with this case) competing with those nearly twice the price, only downfall is you can’t change fan speeds with built in controller.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Stay away from AMD .

Also: you should see that there are 32GB ram sticks now, For the Beefy Pc's.

Edit : Probably want to invest in the Intel 13th gen with a newer motherboard that Supports DDR4 * Unless you want to go DDR5 *
Either way keep in mind to look at your computer case connectors & motherboard ports, to ensure all the USB Panel connections match :)

More Recently with windows 11 Feature: I would Prefer a 49" Ultra wide & Split screen, than 2x 31.5" Monitors.
Good Computers can handle Split screen, and saves on Plastic Bezel space.
