I see Runescape at some point anywhere I go (game forums, discords, twitch, etc), and I have a few friends playing. I'd love to really know why people enjoy playing it, whether it's some casual aspects or some hardcore reason. I'm just curious as from looking at it, I can't really see it, but viewing something vs playing something is much different.

We are all omega old and love nostalgia

For a first timer, some quests and the dialogue can be pretty fun and enjoyable.
Combat gets intricate as you get higher levels as do the quests.
You can even play while doing other things if you afk train stuff like woodcutting, fishing, cooking etc.

The community is pretty neat too albeit just as jsp, there are assholes, scammers, and botters that run around.
The OSRS team does polls for what content we would like to see added. (Albeit sometimes things are forced in which isn't a bad thing like some people might bitch about)

It's a long term relationship amd it's pretty much never ending, Vili said it pretty well, it's for the casual gamer like me, the big brain UIM players like Jupe, and everything between and beyond. Maybe trying watching some series like Swampletics or something? May bring you in or push you away lol

I would recommend starting out as a (regular) ironman though. Normie accounts are boring.
