No offence, but I was a long time hockey fan untill the Vegas bull crap… seriously. They got to choose 2 players from every team and build a dream team? Like come on. Sure teams could protect a few players but that was kinda bullshit. Now their celebrating like the Detroit redwings beat the southpark kindergarteners..

I don't think they could've won if they didn't aquire Pietrangelo and Eichel. That's 1rhd and 1c they were missing to take the next step. I think the expansion draft is fine, they won't have a game changer star, but to make up for it they have a lot of depth. Vegas was able to get Eichel, when players like him are usually unavailable and only possible through draft.

he had surgery and his team didn't wanna deal w him so it kinda helped us get him

im so happy though rn i fucking love hockey & the knights being born and raised here.
alot of people talk shit about vegas, and say what do we know about hockey and we dont deserve success or a team ..
what alot of people also dont realize is its alot deeper than hockey for us here, Oct 1st vegas had the worst mass shooting in history carried out by what we regard out here as terrorists.
i had friends who were there in the crowd that night, running over bloody bodies and people crawling around bleeding out screaming for help as bullets kept raining down on them from afar.
shortly after as the city was still in absolute shock the knights had to take there first skate in front of that city, and they themselves were people who other teams didn't protect from being drafted, hence the name Misfits.
they played for US to try to raise the spirit of the city that had lost 50+ people and had to have a blood drive just to get enough blood to the rest of the victims in the city to survive.
So now that team and that game of hockey means so much more to ALL of us who have lived here through it, and were born and raised in this city. Hockey is our favorite past time, sport and form of entertainment for the people who live here.
Winning this cup is just proof that life goes on and it gets better, even through the adversity we all faced, and thats why we love them.

It was 1 player. And most of those guys were cast aways and depth guys at the time. Like Marchy, smith, Karlsson. Not a Vegas fan by any means, but the aggressive trades and free agency moves they've made have paid off big time. There's only like 6-8 guys left from the expansion draft.
