They were given the same parameters as the knight's , its just most GMs learned the 2nd go around that giving up 2 players + assets instead of just letting the team take whatever player they wanted was the better route to go. Avs did just fine in both drafts, lost Pickard (ahl/backup) goalie and donskoi, who didn't play a game last year due to concussion problems.
Avs lost to the Kraken and it wasn't solely because Landeskog was out the remainder of the season.
The Kraken in their first playoff appearance went deeper into the playoffs then 95% of existing teams the only team to go deeper? You guessed it the Vegas Knights lol
That's what I think is embarrassing about it. Teams being unable to make the playoffs for decades while trying to build the right team and then expansion teams get the cream of the crop(existing players > randoms in any case) and our built for the playoffs from the get-go

Lol right, the wings lost Nosek to vegas iirc, and Cholowski to Seattle. Lmao basically nothing.
The Wings wont make the playoffs for a few more years but their improving and I hope they prove me wrong. You don't think it's a little bullshit that your team has done well developing talent and yet isn't playoff bound?
Imagine all the teams hoping they'd get Bedard to save their organization now about to go bust because their team sucks so no one wants to watch them play
Owners with shit teams should just exit the league join a new city and get existing talent. At least they might go .500
