Hello Everyone!

So currently I'm running a AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, but I decided that I wanted to upgrade to a different set up with a dedicated GPU and my new Ryzen 5 5600. I have 2 questions.

I bought a second hand GPU (RX 6600 TX). So I want to to put that in first to test if it's working properly. I saw that you should install this program when switching Graphics cards to make sure everything goes smoothly, mainly when switching from different GPU platforms. Because the integrated GPU in this case is from AMD and I'm putting an AMD GPU, is this step necessary? Would if be recommended to delete the current drivers and install new ones? Not sure how often you do upgrades, but I have not made any to mine since I build it 3 years ago.

For the CPU, I'm not changing the motherboard (Steel Legend b450), but I think it needed a bios to run the current CPU (Ryzen 5 3400g), do I need to make any changes when I put the new CPU (Ryzen 5 3600) or it will run with the current bios?. Also, do I need to make any changes to the drives? I Saw some videos of people moving their files and updating windows as well.

Not sure if all makes sense, I'm noob with computers and don't have a lot of knowledge, advice will be appreciated.

for the gpu you shouldn't have to do anything special unless you're having issues. plug it in, download the drivers and it should be good to go. not real sure about the cpu, but imo get the bios update for the new cpu ready on a usb so you can load it up when you boot the pc for the first time

If you don't currently have a dedicated GPU installed and are using the integrated graphics then there is nothing you need to do but install the new gpu and download drivers. Integrated graphics is not quiet the same as dedicated graphics when it comes to downloading drivers. DDU is really only required when you are having issues. If you custom install drivers and perform a clean install it erases previous drivers before installing new ones.

Put in your RX6600XT
Boot into Bios
Change primary video outsource to RX6600XT, save exit
Boot into OS, download GPU drivers

Are you upgrading to a 5 3600 or a 5 5600? The 3600 will probably work with your current Bios version, but check on Asrock's sight for the B450 Legend & it should tell you.
