Hello everyone.

Recently my cpu fan has been acting weird when I boot up my PC. The fan is spinning, but making weird grinding noises, not too loud or anything. After a few minutes, it sounds like it "turns" over to normal spinning and it goes quiet.

Can anyone help me out what the issue is? CPU temps seem fine when I've looked at them, and even when it gets hot while gaming, the fan doesnt make those noises it does after bootup.

have you cleaned your fan lately?
update your bios?

maybe too low starting RPM and need custom fan curve (also set in bios)

It seems like I'm having some trouble with my CPU fan. When I start up my PC, the fan is spinning, but it's making strange grinding noises. However, after a few minutes, it seems to transition to normal spinning and becomes quiet.

I've checked the CPU temperatures, and they appear to be fine. Even when the system gets hot during gaming, the fan doesn't make those noises that it does after booting up.

I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions regarding this issue.

Are you 100% sure its your CPU fan, and not your power supply fan?

Some of the cheaper fans, don't have sealed bearings.
When we "blow" the dust out of the computer or the heatsinks... it gets into the un-sealed fan bearings.

The easiest solution is to just replace the fan(s), that are making the grinding noise.
