You snagging one?
Seems like a no brainer for strictly gaming purposes.
Scalpers prices are wild right now though.
Don't pay over $450 for this.

I am curious if I should just upgrade from a 3700x to this CPU and just keep the same GPU(RX 6800), rather than trying to upgrade the GPU itself at this point..

If you already have a AM4 the 5800x3d would be the play.
If you're building from scratch, AM5/7800x3d

RX 6800 is a nice card, especially if it's the XT variant and AMD's most recent updates have solid performance gains

The 3700X is what would need to be updated, and if you're on the edge on price the Ryzen 5 5700X is like $249 Cad and a really solid upgrade, the gains you'll see won't be massive on CPU's vs. GPU's, but you're in a good spot with that RX 6800 imo

Have my 7800x3d waiting for the mobo problems to be fixed.
Also looking for a AIO with AM5 capabilities I can put Lian Li Infinity fans on.

might be waiting awhile on that considering you dont know which bios you are getting but keep eye out on reviews or v2 type shit
they might advertise bios version on box too
