Hey all. This is a blog tracking my progress to 60 in hardcore classic wow. For those of you that don't know, "hardcore wow" is simply an addon that links you with everyone else doing it, where if you die, you delete your character and it's solo self-found, so no partying (except for dungeons, no trading, and no auction house.

I expect to die a lot, and these are my stories.

I went through a few characters trying to get a feel for what I wanted to play, mostly leveling them up to 6-8. I decided on my first, a tauren druid named Catdaddy. We will be leveling feral spec.

Say hello to Catdaddy.



We are currently in the Barrens after finishing the tauren starting zone. Our first talent points went into the balance tree, as we're pushing for Omen of Clarity:

A level 40 died. He didn't comment what happened before logging off.

We leveled up to 16 to do the escort quest at Sludge Fen and found this. Nothing sexy, but a green is a green when you're just starting.





And a cape during the escort quest, huge find!

Ouch, a level 57 died!



He says he got greedy trying to kill level 60s and has rerolled as the druid "playsafe."

We managed to kill Hezrul while underleveled. Our first attempt went very poorly and we escaped with ~70 life. For our second attempt, someone offered the obvious advice of killing his minions first, like this:
