Don't they make a crank extension keyway saver for those? Would suck to have to pull it and get a new crank if the engine itself is healthy.
Absolute worst case I would do the crank and new bearings. Unless you want to sink thousands into a true rebuild. Do you plan on keeping the car for a long time?
yes and i put one in and it was snug with 0 play and now for some reason i can wiggle the pully ever so slightly. due to the extension of the saver it is not possible to torque the crank bolt all the way down without possibly stretching it or the crankshaft itself as i understand the physics of it so i used some threadlocker (blue?) and this was the result. my plan is to attempt this same repair depending on what i find when i take it apart....again. if its worse than im hoping then i would like to consider pulling the engine out myself and putting a new crank in but im not a mechanic so its hard to know if im biting off more than i can chew or not. it seems pretty straight forward but how can i know what i dont know. i am on a budget which is why id like to rebuild it myself. im only looking to address the oil leaks (seemingly everywhere) while its out and the crankshaft. the other option is run it with more metal epoxy and hope for the best in the next year while i work on getting it ready for an ecotec swap
