Yup, both swords and clubs use strength as the main stat, and axes are an even split between dex/str, meaning you can use either stat str/dex for axes and it wont matter, just want the highest number.

Usually I start exploring at lvl 45 unless I need to well. Then I start at like 35.

You can throw nonmagical items into well you will find in the catacombs to fight a boss which will turn your item into a magical one with randomly generated properties. It is a main source of nice items in the game.

So if I throw a lvl 55 white item in, ill get a 55 back with random properties?

Yup. Plus there are side drops which are random levels

I looked over your character and a couple suggestions:

Try to buy a club or sword lvl 50 or 55 over 130 ee (club will be the cheapest)

If you can afford it same goes for armor (not a robe)

If you are strong enough swap your strength charm for 1 with magic luck. You will find more junk drops and thus more that are sellable.

Make more characters that you can turn into mules to hold the items that are not selling during transmute events people tend to buy more junk vs non muting events.
