Truly, your budget is going to decide this. What are you willing to spend on a GPU and are you trying to achieve 1080p? 1440p? 4K?

Idk if you just didnt read the OP or just trolling like every other question Ive ever had here.

Why is one better than the other?

Thats the question. Thats it. Idk where you got budget or what I am trying to achieve specs wise lol.

My PC is finished. I have a shit 3060 in my PC. I have what I need. This is just a generic question to see where the forum sits and why.

So far good responses.

Good to see a nice mix.

Nvidia (Driver Support)
Nvidia (Ray Tracing)
AMD (Pricing)

dis
Driver was a huge thing for me.
Returned my 7900 XTX cus driver kept crashing on certain games.
Tried troubleshooting it for hours, no luck.
Wasted too much time... my time is worth more than $200 difference.
Swapped to 4080 and everything runs smooth.
If u have the funds, go with Nvidia, it will save you headaches. It's worth it.

Also AMD runs hot. Always at 80c+
My room gets hot after 1hr of playing...
Rest of the house is cold af, but my room is a sauna.

Yeah AMD is spicy, I'd choose AMD GPU if I was feeling satanic

I had to RMA my Rtx 3080 b/c after installing a driver it kept crashing my system. while the rma process was completing i got a amd rx 6900xt. I've had my rx 6900xt running @ 4k max settings under 77c for about 2 years with no issues
was sent a new rtx 3080 to replace the defective one and i have to use precision xc to undervolt the card to keep it from going over 80c in 4k gaming.

Modern CPUs are designed to run at 95C all day long. Power usage determines the heat dumped into your room, not the die temperature of the CPU. Why is it so hard to understand basic concepts?

AMD has better performance per watt than anyone else right now.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe this to be a discussion on "GPUs"

Perhaps you meant to take a left instead of a right?

Same principle is applicable, AMD also has the best performance per watt in GPUs with the RX 7900 XT...
