Is this vt guide for PvP still strong?

It uses an Armageddon slippers ammy but I don’t like that since it makes you have to rely on fcr rings + spider + spirit shield to get 75% and I feel I want the rings spaces to be available for other rings including sorb rings

Edit: I’m talking about for Diablo 2 legacy lod not d2r

It depends on realm.
Normally 75fcr is the sweet spot for VT. But it kinda depends on your personal playstyle.

Do Marvel's guide.
Use God PB + SOP st 45@ if u can afford.
If eu: Use Bug belt.

Do you mean no one should ever use uped hoz? I mean it does do more damage due to +2 pal skill/+2 combat skills and you could swap the uped hoz for st spirit if you need the 35% fcr

It’s never been a good shield, in legacy d2 spirit was always the far superior choice vs any opponent. The little bit of damage and block would never be as beneficial as getting like twice as fast faster hit recovery and much faster fcr

Anyhow in d2r Phoenix gives like 4x as much damage as zaka does ever since they fixed the firestorm bug

I guess this topic is for legacy d2 so best follow the one gel linked, that one is much better

And if you play on Europe and can get a bug belt I would personally play grief ba (or ideally even GoB ba, but there’s probably less than 5 of those left on the realm)

50 ias should suffice unless the opponent has arach slow

I was able to get a grief of doom berserker axe on east sc nl

It’s not bad but GoB is a lot better still, it has cb + ow which both apply to smite, ds from god ba doesn’t

But it’s still a nice item cos the freeze target from god ba actually applies to smite, which forces enemies to use cham vs you (normally not needed vs smite)

But since there’s no bug belts on east I would personally only use that one when you don’t need % dr

Or you could go 40/15 + ber in coa with the typical 75 fcr setup, 46% dr isn’t bad anyway

Sound’s guide is better and a good starting point, although I disagree with him in running 125fcr in all matchups.
