I remember reading about the baby(ies) in China that were born after having some of their genetic make up altered through Crispr to create an immunity to HIV. Not for their goal, but for going against medical ethics, that scientist was shunned by not only China, but by the entire world body of scientists. There may come a time where our species will use Crispr as like we use vitamins. But, it's a long way off from now.
