Putting the new jewel into an item like this would be the worst place to put it, unfortunately. Even though that shield on the build seems like a no-brainer to put it in.

I played the new lad as Warlock and was 99 in 9 days. I have a full-time job, and I didn't miss date nights with the hubby.

Weapon of choice? Ondals (This is where I put my stone, 20% exp gain total with anni). Weapon I'd have used if not going for 99? Obsession. +4 skill 65% Fcr life/res
I did 80k dmg with both of those weapons. Having a high-damage weapon is a trap I've been talking about BEFORE the ladder reset, and I've received so much flame/pushback on it.

Think of Echoing WL as a caster -- Like a FB sorc, for example.
+ skills give you damage! And Fire Facets give your spell more damage!

Only your spell does physical damage, and instead of +5% damage max from a facet... You can put on a Phoenix and add up to 400% damage to your spell instead, because that ED calculates on your SPELL damage. (Like a facet would to fire/cold/light damage)
This is why you can do 400k+ Damage with your spell.

80k Dmg 1 shots everything. Going for more damage over fcr/life/res means you have small dick energy and you're compensating.

Arioc on 125 fcr has 85 deadly strike and 3 more + skills (2 Mephisto , 1 from 2/15+ amu) compared to this ondal build….

Obsession would even allow for 125 fcr + laying on hands + highlords + phoenix…. For 350 more ed vs demons….
But you loose quite some deadly Strike , reaching like „only“ 50% with highlord and gore…

Looks realy close to me between the 3 setups…

Use a cursed Hephy with a pulse aura so he amps things instantly. Amp tripples your damage. It's easy mode. Dont need super high leech either because 1% leech still makes you full + phoenix keeps topping you off as well vs enemies you can't leech against.

Protector's stone will blank out the ed from jewels added after the protectors stone. The little bit of weapon damage from the jewel is definitly not worth it over 20% extra fcr and all that defense obsession gives. Like you can use the same setup, but use two skill rings instead of fcr , or even Loh. It’s hard to cap resists on ondal.

So if I don’t go for max exp , obsession seems way better. Or is the weaken on struck that bad ? (Overwriting cursed..)

So if (for example) I put Protector's Stone in simple base helmet 1os, its %ed (for instance 50ed) applies only to "Adds 10-30 Damage" the jewel itself is providing, resulting in"Adds 15-45 Damage" and nothing more?
