Steve Kerr is the best damn head coach in the NBA. He has his players ready to play. No Steph Curry. No Jimmy Butler. Doesn't matter.

Rockets can easily fall to the 6th seed and end up having to play on the road against a 3 seed like the Denver Nuggets or Minnesota Timberwolves. Would prefer the Lakers in the first round because they're a very inconsistent and soft team just like the Rockets are. But the Rockets need to play much better to advance past the first round of the playoffs regardless of seeding and opponent.

Rockets lack mental toughness. They have no heart in these tight games. I believe they drop to 1-6 on the season in Overtime.

The 2026 NBA Playoffs may be fun if the Rockets wake up and play with more passion. Otherwise I'm just wasting my time.

If the Houston Rockets don't advance past the first round of the playoffs they may be "all in" on a Giannis trade this summer.
Smarter choice is to keep building around their young stars. But patience will be running thin if they continue to underachieve.
