Hi! My basic Java at clvl 90 looks like this:

2/20 plain gloves
Dual res boots: 30 frw 36 lr 17 cr
Rare ring: 10 fcr 16 lr 23 cr
Crap ring: 3% ll 17 lr 22 cr half freeze
CTA 431 + Spirit
Anni 16/15, Torch 11/16, Java plain 1x, Crap res charms, Sunder 75
Infi / Forti / Vamp merc A2 Might

STATS
55 ias 70 fcr 65 fhr 105 frw
20 FR 36 LR 65 CR 1 PR
2700 LFury, 7k CS (max), 2600 life 450 mana (bo)

I need your suggestions for efficient upgrades. I know these res are utter crap but I had no luck at all with self found charms. My rares also stink so far, but vast improvements like good trires are $$$.
My gut says the dmg is okay, although I'm not one shotting in chaos or TZ other than cows. She is paper thin and still chugs pots like crazy, so defense is worse.
What should be done next? Maybe 15/15 jool for Griff, or plain @res sc? Or would you prioritise getting things like MAEK and CBF and just shoot from distance, gradually improving resists with self found stuff?

imo raven frost and 6ml ring are top priorities. I'd personally get silkweaves as well. cure merc is also pretty nice

Focus on cheap upgrades first.

Replace gloves with 2/20 with fire or lightning resist. Should be <10 fg.
Instead of 15/15 jewel, try a 15/15+ lightning resist jewel as this will be far cheaper <10 fg
Buy some plain 10+ fire and lightning resist scs. They’re basically 1-5 fg each.

After that, other upgrades get more expensive. Maybe buy 2 more plain java gcs. You’ll want a ravenfrost ring but this should wait until after you get the above cheap upgrades first (when your res is better).

I've found some charms to temporarily solve the @res issue, along with 2/20 swap for LOH. Also got Raven Frost. Mana leech ring? To have that and FCR is still work in progress. Well it's a budget java, but I'll push forward, perhaps trying Cure along the way...
Silkweaves - I've played javas with silks a few times but I'd like to lay my hands on solid trires this time around!

if youre a glass cannon. CoH is a nice comfy replacement for enigma. phoenix is also nice for quick heals.

Interesting that you have Griffons and the other gear looks "pale" in comparison.

Lightning & Fire Res is your main objective for Res, so some of your items need to be switched out. Ravens to me is a Must.

Why do you want FCR and FRW in your setup? Your casting speed (Tele) is blah, so forget about FCR and keep your FRW.

Do you have a Valk? Decoy? ... are you using any of the DAE skills in the Passive Tree other than Pierce + 9 (including + Skill items) to reach 100% Pierce?

Laying of hands would be better for Res, 20% IAS and the 350% damage to demons vs your 2/20s... what is the base item of your gloves? Normal, Exceptional or Elite? ... what defense?

Dwarf for Fire Absorb would be also a compliment to a Raven Frost.

Have you got gear for pre casting BO etc? +2 Skill items (amulet like Maras and the Paladin one) then switch, SoJ, BK rings (not important) and switch ... forgot mods for Nightwings, but if it has +2 All skills, then that doesn't need to be switched... or you can just use Shako for pre cast.

As stated by someone else... MpK item(s) like Silkweaves for your Mana consumption, or some ML from a ring or amulet.


Anyway, I think you should work with a 1 base Decoy to deter monsters swarming you or ranged monsters, also a Valk can help tank with your merc and you can re-cast it (if your mana is good) in critical situations. So... check your Play Style vs areas you are in.

what you need is a pair of 2/20 gloves with mana leeach, ideally maek too

then its up to you, either you get 68 fcr bp or you keep soj for more dmg

dont listen to noobs saying fcr isnt important or that you should use laying of hands

also get real res boots this should fix your res, if not get more res sc's

FCR isn't important unless you are a noob that can not kill fast. You only use Teleport in tragic circumstances because you are a noob, or use it when you cleared monsters. I know you are old school, but meh, you still do the SOS (same old shit) trashing others advice like you are God of all know it alls.

Javazons do teleport. Only bad players like you run and take 1 minute to reach CS.

If you're SC just go dmg to the walls.

You need some Java gloves with maek or mana steal, and a raven frost ring. Also I'd get two tstrokes and forget titans exist. The kill speed is night & day


Also NEVER go COH, even in HC. 😂

I've ran a java to 99 3 times and went from haste armor to enigma.
