Ukraine is incentivized to make this conflict larger, its why they insisted upon a no fly zone a while back which would have forced a confrontation between nato and the orcs.
Ukraine can demand allies act all day long until the cows come home, but what's more worrisome is the possibilities within Ukraine's own reach. Whether a Zelensky-led government engages in escalatory attacks to draw a response, or whether the Zelensky regime collapses and a heavily militarized group of neo-nazis takes power with all those fancy US weapons at their disposal. Peace deals are a knife's edge since they force exigency onto radicals who want to stoke the fire, we're far more likely to see something go horribly wrong now than the past couple years, though just as much potential for negotiators to finally put this conflict to rest.
