I mean the guy has pitched 1 postseason inning in his career and it was back in 2017.

Walker is actually pitching like what he was signed to be. A good end of the rotation arm. Either be the 4th arm in the rotation come playoff time depending on injuries, or be long relief out of the pen. One way or another we gotta be happy with what he's doing.

Ideally the playoffs rotation goes

Wheeler
Sanchez
Suarez
Walker/Luzardo/Nola

Nola should be there no brainer but he looks lost. Serving up meatballs these days. Unless he can turn it around between now and the postseason.

I'm less concerned with pitching as I am the streaky bats.

Huh? Walker had been ass in a Phillies uniform until this season. But there's a reason they gave him that 4 year / $72M contract a few years ago. He was a very good back end of the rotation starter for the Mets, hell he was an All-Star in 2021 lol. He has solid stuff and the way hes pitching right now especially as of late he may very well pitch his way into a playoff start you never know. He has kept them in every game but has received absolutely no run support.

Either way, we're talking about our 4th or 5th guy here. If Wheeler is ready for the postseason (hopefully he is) we'll be fine because they'll go with a 3 man rotation of Wheeler/Sanchez/Suarez as needed and fill in the gaps with Walker/Luzardo/Nola depending on who's most reliable when the time comes.
